The Bently Nevada 3500/42M Proximitor / Seismic Monitor is a four-channel machinery protection and condition monitoring module designed for use in the Bently Nevada 3500 Series system. It measures vibration, position, and velocity signals from proximity probes, velocity transducers, and accelerometers, providing accurate, real-time information for machine protection and diagnostics.
This monitor continuously evaluates vibration and position data against programmed alert and danger limits. If these thresholds are exceeded, the system initiates alarms or protective shutdowns to prevent mechanical damage. The module supports dual-function operation, with each pair of channels configurable for a different measurement type.
The 135489-03 I/O module is a variant equipped with internal barriers, designed for installations requiring intrinsic safety or hazardous-area compliance. It provides termination points for up to four seismic or velocity (Velomitor) sensors.
The 3500/42M is widely used in turbines, compressors, pumps, generators, and other rotating equipment that demand high-reliability condition monitoring and automatic protection.
