Product Overview
The Bently Nevada 3500/42M is a four-channel Proximitor / Seismic Monitor used within the Bently Nevada 3500 Machinery Protection System. It provides continuous monitoring and protection for rotating machinery by processing vibration, displacement, position, and acceleration signals.
This module is designed to receive inputs from proximity probes, velocity transducers (Velomitors), or accelerometers. It conditions and analyzes these signals to measure parameters such as radial vibration, thrust position, shaft absolute motion, differential expansion, and other critical mechanical behaviors. The processed data is compared with user-defined alert and danger thresholds, generating alarms and trip signals to protect equipment from mechanical damage.
The 3500/42M can be configured for various applications, with each pair of channels operating independently—allowing two different monitoring functions per module. It is an essential part of the 3500 Series system used in turbines, compressors, pumps, generators, and other high-speed rotating equipment.
