The Bently Nevada 3500/42M Proximitor / Seismic Monitor is a four-channel machinery protection and condition-monitoring module designed for use in the 3500 Series rack system. It provides continuous monitoring of critical rotating equipment by accepting input signals from proximity probes, velocity transducers, or accelerometers.
The module processes these signals to measure parameters such as radial vibration, thrust position, differential expansion, eccentricity, acceleration, velocity, and shaft absolute motion. It then compares the measured values against user-configured alert and danger setpoints to provide reliable machinery protection and early fault detection.
Each pair of channels can be configured independently, allowing two different monitoring functions to be performed simultaneously on one module. The 3500/42M is widely used in turbines, compressors, pumps, motors, and other rotating machinery applications where accurate and continuous monitoring is essential for safe and efficient operation.
