The Bently Nevada 3500/45 (140072-04) is a four-channel position monitoring module designed for the 3500 Machinery Protection System. It provides continuous measurement and protection for rotating machinery, such as turbines, compressors, pumps, and motors, by accurately detecting shaft position, thrust movement, and vibration.
The module receives input signals from Bently Nevada Proximitor® proximity probes or compatible eddy-current displacement sensors, converting them into precise displacement and vibration values.
It processes both static (DC) and dynamic (AC) components of the signal—representing shaft position and vibration amplitude respectively—and continuously compares these readings with user-defined Alert and Danger setpoints to ensure reliable machinery protection.
The 140072-04 version includes the rear I/O module, which provides electrical connections between the field sensors and the front 3500/45 monitor module.
