The Bently Nevada 3500/50M Tachometer Module (133388-02) is a dual-channel speed measurement and direction monitoring module, designed for use within the Bently Nevada 3500 Series Machinery Protection System. It accepts inputs from proximity probes or magnetic pickups to measure shaft rotational speed, zero speed, reverse rotation, and acceleration.
The 3500/50M module continuously monitors machine speed and provides real-time Keyphasor® outputs for other monitoring functions, eliminating the need for a separate Keyphasor module in most systems. It can also compare measured speed values against configured alarm thresholds, ensuring timely protection and diagnostics for critical rotating equipment.
This module is widely used in turbines, compressors, pumps, and large motors that require accurate speed and rotation condition monitoring. It is important to note that this module is not intended for primary overspeed or shutdown protection.
