The Bently Nevada 3500/61 (163179-02 + 136711-02) is a six-channel temperature monitor designed for precise measurement and protection of rotating machinery within the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System.
This configuration includes the 163179-02 monitor module paired with the 136711-02 isolated I/O module, offering complete electrical isolation between each input channel, the backplane, and external field wiring.
The module accepts inputs from both Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) and Thermocouples (TCs), providing accurate, real-time temperature readings.
Each channel compares its measured temperature to user-configured Alert and Danger thresholds and initiates alarms when limits are exceeded.
Additionally, every channel provides a 4–20 mA proportional output, enabling integration with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), or data acquisition systems.
This isolated version is particularly suitable for installations requiring high noise immunity and protection against ground loop interference.
