The Bently Nevada 3500/42M (128229-01) is a four-channel Proximitor/Seismic Monitor Module designed for use within the Bently Nevada 3500 Machinery Protection System. It provides continuous online monitoring of machinery vibration and position parameters to ensure the reliable protection and diagnostics of critical rotating equipment.
This module accepts input signals from proximity probes, velocity sensors, or accelerometers, conditions the signals, and processes them into parameters such as vibration amplitude, shaft displacement, or acceleration. Each channel pair can be independently configured for specific measurements, allowing flexible monitoring strategies across various types of industrial machinery including turbines, compressors, pumps, and generators.
The 3500/42M continuously compares measured values with user-defined Alert and Danger setpoints. When limits are exceeded, the module generates alarms or relay outputs to initiate protective actions. Its modular rack-mount design allows easy integration and maintenance in industrial monitoring systems.
