The Bently Nevada 3500/42M Proximitor / Seismic Monitor is a four-channel machinery protection and condition-monitoring module designed for use in the Bently Nevada 3500 Series rack system. It is engineered to continuously measure and protect rotating machinery by monitoring parameters such as radial vibration, thrust position, differential expansion, eccentricity, acceleration, velocity, and shaft absolute motion.
The 3500/42M module accepts inputs from proximity probes, velocity transducers, or accelerometers and converts these raw signals into conditioned engineering values. It then compares the measurements against configured Alert and Danger setpoints, providing alarm, relay, and data outputs for both protection and diagnostics.
Each pair of channels can be configured independently, enabling two distinct monitoring functions within one module. This flexibility, combined with advanced signal filtering and high measurement accuracy, makes the 3500/42M one of the most widely used vibration monitoring modules for turbines, compressors, pumps, and other critical rotating equipment.
