The Bently Nevada 3500/42M Proximitor / Seismic Monitor is a four-channel machinery protection and condition monitoring module designed for use in the Bently Nevada 3500 Series Machinery Protection System. It accepts input signals from proximity probes, velocity sensors, or accelerometers, providing processed outputs that represent parameters such as vibration, shaft position, differential expansion, eccentricity, and acceleration.
The 3500/42M is an enhanced version of the earlier 3500/42 module, offering improved signal processing performance, wider configuration flexibility, and superior reliability. The module continuously compares measured values with configured alert and danger setpoints, delivering both real-time protection and detailed condition monitoring for rotating machinery such as turbines, compressors, pumps, and motors.
Each pair of channels can be configured for different measurement types, allowing one module to perform dual monitoring functions simultaneously. The module integrates seamlessly with the 3500 rack architecture, supporting both standard and internally-barriered I/O modules for hazardous-area applications.
