Product Overview
The Bently Nevada 3500/42M is a four-channel Proximitor / Seismic Monitor designed for use in the Bently Nevada 3500 Machinery Protection System. It provides continuous monitoring and protection for critical rotating machinery by measuring and analyzing vibration, displacement, and position signals from proximity probes, velocity sensors, or accelerometers.
This module is a key component in turbine, compressor, pump, and generator protection systems, providing both machinery protection and condition monitoring functions. It accepts dynamic and static signals, processes them internally, and compares the results to user-defined alert and danger setpoints. When limits are exceeded, the module activates alarm and relay outputs to initiate corrective or shutdown actions.
The 3500/42M improves upon earlier versions with higher channel density, enhanced signal conditioning, and flexible configuration capabilities. Each channel pair can be configured for a specific function, allowing two independent monitoring functions per module.
