2. How many relay outputs does the 3500/33-03-00 provide?

4. What is the difference between Normally Energized and Normally De-energized operation?
The relay channels are arranged into four groups of four, and each group can be selected for Normally Energized (NE) or Normally De-energized (ND) operation. In Normally Energized operation, the relay remains energized during normal operation and changes state when the programmed alarm or protection condition occurs. This can be useful in circuits where loss of relay energy is intended to represent an abnormal or fault condition. In Normally De-energized operation, the relay remains de-energized under normal conditions and energizes when the programmed condition becomes active. The appropriate mode should be selected according to the external control circuit, shutdown philosophy, fail-safe requirements, and the behavior expected by the connected equipment. 5. What should be checked if a relay output does not operate correctly?
