Product Overview
The HIMA F8627X is a high-integrity Ethernet communication module designed for use in safety-critical automation systems, specifically within HIMA’s HIQuad / H41q / H51q platforms. It enables safe and reliable data exchange via multiple protocols (including safeEthernet, OPC A/E, MODBUS-TCP and ELOP II programming via Ethernet), offering connectivity between central processing units (CPUs) and other networked devices in large scale industrial installations such as process plants, power generation, pipelines and offshore facilities.
This module supports both safe and non-safe CPUs (for example F8650X, F8652X, F8651X, F8653X) and integrates seamlessly into HIMA’s safety system architecture. It is intended to provide deterministic, redundant communication channels in accordance with safety integrity levels (SIL) for applications where availability, reliability and diagnostics are critically required.
