6. What can cause an overcurrent fault during acceleration?
Acceleration overcurrent is commonly associated with a short acceleration ramp, excessive load inertia, incorrect motor parameters, mechanical blockage or an unsuitable motor-control configuration. Check the motor parameters first and inspect the machine for excessive mechanical resistance. For high-inertia loads, increasing the acceleration time can reduce the current demand. Motor cables and terminals should also be checked for short circuits, insulation faults and incorrect wiring.

7. How can communication problems between the ATV340D22N4E and a PLC be diagnosed?
Start by checking the physical Ethernet connection, communication module and network equipment. Confirm that the IP configuration and network settings are correct and that no address conflict exists. Next, verify the PLC device configuration, communication protocol and control/status data mapping. Check whether the drive is receiving valid control commands and whether the PLC is receiving the expected status and feedback data. For intermittent communication faults, inspect network topology, shielding, grounding and possible electromagnetic interference.
