
China National Intellectual Property Administration data shows that ABB Schweiz AG has filed a patent titled “Automated Guided Vehicle Including a Suspended Carrier” (Publication No. CN121712679A), with a filing date of August 2023.

According to the abstract, the invention relates to an automated guided vehicle (AGV) comprising a chassis, multiple wheel units connected to the chassis, and an electronic control system in signal communication with the wheel units. Each wheel unit includes a wheel configured to support the chassis on a horizontal surface, and the system also includes one or more elastic suspension elements.
The AGV further features a suspended carrier mounted to the chassis via the suspension elements. This carrier is configured to horizontally support the control system within the chassis interior while also extending horizontally outside the chassis structure, enabling a more integrated and spatially optimized system layout.
