ABB Harnessflex has launched a new digital product catalogue for its cable protection and connection systems, strengthening support for engineers working in demanding vehicle and heavy machinery applications.

Operating environments for vehicles and heavy-duty equipment are often exposed to dust, moisture, vibration, extreme temperatures, and corrosive salts. Since 1984, the ABB Harnessflex® product range has focused on designing and manufacturing flexible conduit systems, connector interfaces, and hinged fittings to protect electrical wiring systems in heavy-duty automotive and industrial applications.

These integrated solutions ensure safe cable routing while protecting against mechanical abrasion, fluid ingress, thermal stress, and corrosion, helping to improve system reliability and service life in harsh environments.

To support engineering design and product integration, Harnessflex now provides verified CAD data through the eCATALOG 3Dfindit platform, powered by CADENAS. This enables engineers to access accurate 3D models and streamline the design process.

The adoption of eCATALOG 3Dfindit is not entirely new within ABB, as other ABB divisions have already successfully implemented the platform. Based on this proven experience, Harnessflex has expanded its use across its own product portfolio.

Engineers can now use drag-and-drop functionality to directly insert CAD models into engineering design software such as E3.series via Zuken Component Cloud, significantly improving workflow efficiency and reducing design time.

The entire Harnessflex product portfolio is now available online, including three main ranges: Standard Black for low-voltage applications, X-Temp for extreme temperature environments, and EVO (Electric Vehicle Orange) for high-voltage electric vehicle applications. The catalogue covers conduits, fittings, connector interfaces, and accessories, with additional components planned for future release.

This digital expansion enhances accessibility, simplifies engineering integration, and supports faster and more efficient design processes for modern electrification and mobility applications.
