On March 20, the 2026 China Automation + Digital Industry Annual Conference and the 22nd CAIMRS Digitalization Leadership Forum were held in Nanjing under the theme “Breaking Through And Going Global In A New Era.” ABB Ltd received nine major awards across leadership, product innovation, and application innovation categories, and was also listed among the Top 50 Automation + Digitalization Brands of the Year.
In 2025, amid global economic volatility and cyclical adjustments in traditional industries, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence continued to accelerate industrial transformation. The automation sector demonstrated strong resilience, driven by new productive forces. ABB China advanced its ABB Way operating model, completed the acquisition of Siemens’ wiring accessories business in China, and promoted AI-driven innovation through ABB Accelerator China Week. The company also launched multiple China-tailored products and solutions to support energy transition and industrial upgrading.
These strategic initiatives contributed to ABB being named one of the Top 50 Brands of 2025.
At the forum’s main session, Cao Yang, Vice President of ABB Electrification China and Head of Smart Buildings and Smart Power Market Sales, delivered a keynote speech titled “Innovation Evolution, Breaking Through Forward,” highlighting the company’s approach to digital transformation and industrial upgrading.
During the CEO roundtable, Wang Yu, Head of ABB Motion Business China, discussed industry trends and future opportunities. He noted that the green and intelligent transformation of traditional industries, along with the rapid expansion of emerging sectors such as new energy and data centers, will create significant strategic opportunities for the automation market during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period.
At the event, Han Chen, President of ABB Robotics China, once again received the “New Quality Productivity Leader – Strategy Award,” marking his second consecutive win.
ABB’s digital and intelligent innovations also received multiple “New Quality” awards.
