Asiainfo Technologies Limited announced on January 26 that it has jointly established an “Embodied Intelligence Laboratory” with ABB Ltd Robotics division. The inauguration ceremony for the laboratory has recently been held.

The joint laboratory will be built on Alibaba Cloud’s Vision-Language-Action (VLA) large model and NVIDIA’s simulation platform. It will focus on cutting-edge fields such as industrial simulation and Physical AI, aiming to advance embodied intelligence technologies for industrial applications.

The initiative is designed to address key limitations in perception, decision-making, and execution capabilities of intelligent agents operating in complex real-world environments. The lab will work toward breakthroughs that enhance robots’ ability to understand and interact with dynamic industrial scenarios.

The collaboration also seeks to establish a full-chain innovation system covering technology research and development, achievement transformation, and industrial deployment, accelerating the practical application of embodied AI technologies in real industrial settings.
