On April 9, the results of the 2026 China Automation Industry Annual Conference (CAIAC2026) were announced. ABB was named “2025 China Automation Industry Annual Enterprise” and received multiple honors, including Most Competitive Innovative Product, Most Trusted Product, Most Influential Engineering Project, and Annual Value Solution, highlighting its strong innovation capability and industry leadership.

During the event, ABB Motion China representatives shared insights on the integration of digitalization, AI, and motion technologies, emphasizing the shift from traditional automation toward autonomous intelligence. ABB Motion continues to leverage digitally enabled drives, motors, and services to improve energy efficiency, support decarbonization, and drive industrial transformation.

ABB’s AXW permanent magnet water-cooled motor and PoWa collaborative robot series were both named “Most Competitive Innovative Product of the Year.” The AXW motor delivers high efficiency of over 98% with compact design and strong thermal performance, improving energy efficiency and equipment lifespan. The PoWa robot series is designed for compact industrial environments, supporting applications such as palletizing, welding, and machine tending, with high precision and motion performance powered by the OmniCore™ platform.

The ACS580 variable frequency drive was awarded “Most Trusted Product of the Year.” It offers easy commissioning, compact design, and broad industrial applicability across HVAC, water treatment, food and beverage, logistics, and other sectors.

The Guangxi Petrochemical ethylene electric drive system project was named “Most Influential Engineering Project of the Year,” delivering high reliability, redundancy, and voltage dip protection to ensure stable petrochemical production.

ABB Robotics’ AI-powered picking solution was awarded “Annual Value Solution of the Year,” achieving over 99.5% sorting accuracy and high throughput for apparel and logistics applications, while significantly reducing deployment time and integration complexity.

CAIAC2026, hosted by the Chinese Association of Automation, recognizes outstanding contributions to China’s automation industry and focuses on intelligent transformation and green development.
