On January 27, 2026, ABB Ltd officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Jinan with Inspur Group subsidiary Inspur Communication Information Systems Co., Ltd. The partnership will focus on high-power data center joint solutions and industrial digital-intelligence collaboration, aiming to accelerate digital transformation and support the low-carbon transition of key industries.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior executives from both companies, including ABB Electrical China Senior Vice President and Smart Buildings Business Unit Head Zou Enchang, ABB Electrical China Vice President and Head of Smart Buildings and Smart Power Market Sales Cao Yang, Inspur Group Senior Vice President and Party Secretary, Chairman of Inspur Communication Information Systems Co., Ltd. Cui Hongzhi, along with Vice General Managers Feng Xuejun and Guo Zhenjun. Prior to the ceremony, both parties visited Inspur’s latest achievements in data center and computing infrastructure development and held in-depth discussions on industry innovation and ecosystem integration.

Zou Enchang stated that advancing the green and high-quality development of critical infrastructure aligns closely with China’s dual-carbon goals, energy transition, and digitalization strategy. He emphasized that ABB is strengthening localized R&D, manufacturing, and service capabilities in key areas such as data centers and energy transformation to respond more quickly to market demand and deliver customized solutions under its “in China, for China” strategy. He added that the partnership with Inspur represents a practical step in embedding ABB’s innovative technologies into local scenarios to jointly build future-ready green infrastructure.

Cao Yang noted that data centers are a cornerstone of the digital economy, and their energy reliability and operational efficiency directly influence the future digital ecosystem. He highlighted ABB’s global expertise in smart power distribution and energy management, combined with Inspur’s strengths in system integration and application scenarios, to jointly develop a new generation of infrastructure that is more efficient, resilient, and low-carbon, helping customers achieve long-term value.

Feng Xuejun stated that Inspur Communication, as a leading provider of integrated computing and networking services, is committed to building an open and mutually beneficial industrial ecosystem together with ABB. Guo Zhenjun added that deeper collaboration between both sides will enable new product forms and explore innovative technology pathways while maintaining strict safety and quality standards, delivering differentiated solutions across multiple scenarios.

Looking ahead, ABB and Inspur Communication will deepen cooperation across five key areas: high-power data center solutions, integrated power-computing delivery, industrial digital transformation, joint overseas market expansion, and authorized panel cabinet support. Together, they aim to deliver intelligent, efficient, and sustainable solutions for data centers and industrial internet applications, creating long-term value for customers.

On the same day, both parties also signed an agreement for ABB authorized panel cabinet cooperation and technology licensing. This further expands ABB’s smart power distribution ecosystem and promotes the deployment of efficient and reliable electrical solutions across broader industrial and infrastructure applications.
