China National Intellectual Property Administration data shows that ABB Schweiz AG has filed a patent titled “Cable Bundle Tensioning Device With Closed-Loop Control System” (Publication No. CN121671955A), with a filing date of September 2025.

According to the abstract, the invention relates to a cable tie tensioning device equipped with a closed-loop control system. The device includes a tensioning assembly configured to partially accommodate a cable tie and apply tension to it, as well as a user interface used to input a target tension value.

The system also includes a sensor that measures the actual tension applied during operation. A controller communicates with the tensioning assembly, the user interface, and the sensor. Based on real-time feedback from the sensor, the controller dynamically adjusts the operation of the tensioning assembly to achieve the target tension set through the user interface.

This design enables precise tension control, improving consistency and reliability in cable installation applications.
