Emerson has announced plans to build a new Middle East & Africa Service Center in Qatar, strengthening its industrial automation and technical service capabilities across the region. The new facility will be located in the Umm Alhoul Free Zone and is expected to support customers in Qatar as well as industrial companies across the wider Middle East and Africa markets.

The planned facility will cover approximately 3,500 square meters and will provide a range of automation-related services. One of its key features will be a certified in-country flow calibration laboratory, designed to improve access to calibration services for large flow meters used in demanding industrial applications.
The new center will also support measurement instrumentation, skid-based training systems, spare parts distribution, customer training and staging and integration services for distributed control systems. These capabilities are particularly relevant to oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical, power generation and other process industries that depend on DCS, instrumentation and process control technologies.
Control-system staging, measurement services, spare-parts operations and training facilities are planned to become operational during the development period, while the certified flow calibration laboratory is expected to follow in a later phase.
For industrial automation users, the development highlights the growing importance of localized engineering, calibration, spare-parts and DCS support services. Faster access to technical resources can be particularly valuable for plants where instrumentation reliability and control-system availability directly affect production performance.

The Qatar investment also reflects the continued development of industrial automation infrastructure in the Middle East, where digital control systems, process instrumentation and automation technologies are becoming increasingly important to modern industrial operations.
